It worked!Caprizant wrote:My history teacher showed this to us a couple weeks ago and I thought I'd share it with the other high-schoolers here. Snow Day Calculator!
Just enter in the ZIP code of your school, the number of snow days you've had this year so far, and the type of school, and it'll tell you the percent chance you'll have a snow day tomorrow. It's great, just don't plan your weekend around it.
Apparently I have an 80% chance of a snow day tomorrow. I'll keep you guys posted if it's right. :B

well
technically it would have worked either way
it's just that it produced an outcome favorable to you

If you have Netflix and you're frustrated with its search system, then you can use its hidden category codes to search by any possible genre you need.

Re: The Lifehack Thread
I recently installed TickTick on my phone. It's a basic calendar/to-do list app.
With this app, you can:
I'm using it to organize myself for college and get ready for orientation. It's really helping me to get rid of my procrastination problems. I just set an alarm five minutes in advance of a chore so I can prepare for it, and having a checklist keeps me from putting things off because I like to see everything checked off. :B
With this app, you can:
- Create daily, repeating, or one-time tasks.
- Be notified of an upcoming task by a chime.
- Set how far in advance you want to be notified of an upcoming task.
- Group tasks under lists.
- Set task priorities.
- Check off completed tasks.

You will probably be very surprised at your results, but it's a great starting point if you want to find a well-fitting bra (which can help eliminate upper back pain, improve posture, etc). I love helping people find bras that work for them, so PM me if you have any questions or want to talk about such things

I've got one, if you're expecting a strictly hardware or core software repair on your laptop, back up and encrypt your data just in case someone decides to go poking about on your hard drive in the process. I'm fortunate that my preferred antivirus program includes such tools.
Huh?
Huh?

Re: The Lifehack Thread
Uh, what about mine that I discovered? "How to Get Free Money When Two Games are Up for Pre-Order Several Months Apart"?
I pre-ordered Persona 5 and Zero Time Dilemma at the same time around the time E3 was going on. The latter was very close to release when I pre-ordered it (it's been out for a few days now), but Persona 5 is not coming to North America until Valentine's Day of next year.
So of course when I checked out I clicked the option to "fit my orders into as few packages as possible", because I always do that. Then, my order was placed. Then, as days turned into weeks, I still did not have an estimated delivery date for Zero Time Dilemma, despite the fact that it was mere days from releasing. Well, one of these days I logged in to check my orders, and I see this:
"Persona 5 PS3 Edition - Expected delivery date February 20th-24th 2017
Zero Time Dilemma 3DS - Expected delivery date February 20th-24th 2017"
My first reaction was a palm to the face and an instinctual, "Gh-- what!?!?!"
After some deliberation, I figured the reason this was happening was because I chose the option to fit my deliveries into as few packages as possible. I didn't expect this option to have the additional stipulation of "even if they're like over half a year apart, lol", but I was content. It gives me more time to play through 999 and Virtue's Last Reward.
Today, I checked my e-mail and I had a new mail from Amazon, saying that because Zero Time Dilemma was being pushed so ludicrously far back from release date, they'd be giving me ten bucks for my trouble!
And that, kids, is how you hAcK tHe SyStEm!1!1!1!

Re: The Lifehack Thread
If for some reason you find yourself in a situation like my friend, then I have an interesting trick for you.
So he took a couple AP tests this past year and the results were supposed to be released today. Only for whatever reason the College Board region locked the results for certain states, one of those being Virginia, to be released in a few days. Without those results, my friend would've had to gone and taken some placement tests, possibly unnecessarily.
Based on how some of his friends were able to obtain their results, his father suggested he used Tor, also known as the The Onion Router. I know of this software from my wikiwalking, on one hand it is often a gateway to the Dark Web, but on the other hand, because of the way it helps provide autonomy to the user, it is able to bypass the region locking because the IP source appears to be from a different location.
The browser took just minutes to install and pulls up like a normal browser, in fact I commented to my friend that it resembled unsynced Chrome. Within a minute my friend had logged onto the college board and had access to his scores.

Re: The Lifehack Thread
So actual attacks on the Pentagon's system are beyond your imagination.
All we did was encrypt the data, sent it out to different servers in the Tor network that decoded the next server it would be sent to until it reached the exit server and was sent to our destination, thereby concealing the origin of the data.
