Welp. My dad just kicked my butt in a children's card game, perhaps confirming the suspicion that adults really are the most adept players of children's card games.

Even if they never played before.

I suspect it's the additional mental capacity gained through maturity.

I think it was considered "bad" because for those of us that played earlier FF games, this game was surprisingly different. It's like biting into a chocolate chip cookie, and finding out it's a raisin cookie.
Raisin cookies might not be bad if that's what you expect... but if you wanted chocolate chip it's a let down.
