Actually, I looked it up the other day (because I was curious about what the wettest states were), and Seattle (or any part of the west coast) doesn't usually get that much rain, compared to the east and gulf coasts at least.

Seattle typically has more rainy days, it's just that it's not much rainfall overall. Just a lot of sprinkling.
