Just started watching Season 3. I've finished episode 2, but I'll be going to bed now.
spoiler??:
Zuko has a lovely dragon ride! And may I say, I like these criminals, hahaha!! Also, the kid--Kai, was it?--he's going to be an interesting character. I like his hair. :v

Watched the last 2 episodes of the season just now. One word: Intense!

Spoilery stuff obviously:
Bolin was hilarious as usual. Laughing So cool that he can lava bend!

Glad that Tenzin survived the attack, but wow, he didn't look too good....

P'Li blasting her own head off like that was quite shocking (they didn't actually show it because it's Nick, but still). Zaheer being able to fly after that was also surprising (and I want that ability!).

Jinora becoming an Airbending master was awesome! Her new look reminds me very much of Aang from the original series.

Finally, Korra... First season, she nearly loses all her bending powers. Second Season, she loses her connection to her past lives. Now, she's nearly killed and has lost all her strength. I imagine she will recover eventually (though, she looks like crap at the moment), but I'm just going to say this: I'm seeing a pattern here of Korra losing/nearly losing something each season. If there is a 4th season (which there should be, but you never know), I think she's going to die at the end of it.

*just finished season 3*
my thoughts:
Ooooh, I really liked the Red Lotus. :v

Earth Queen was a butt, I'm glad we didn't see her much. The way she died would have been frightening, but it looked cool. :P Right as I was thinking that (yes, I occasionally think of future Pit Stop posts), Zaheer started doing the same to Korra, and I was all like "OOoooh, dang."

...and this is why I don't glance at spoilers, even for a second...If I didn't know Bolin would start some awesome Lava bending...it was still Awesome!! :D And, thank you Mako, for that wonderfully timed Lightning Strike. As soon as I heard a :splash: and then you jumped in the lake, I was just like, "Whow, that was stupid. She's a freaking water-bending Slender Man, and you just jump in a lake with her??" Seriously though. Kudos to the lightning. Now, if you'd done that to Zaheer as soon as you came outside....

During the final battle, I enjoyed all the throw-backs to THE Finale of A:LA. 1) Crystal room where the avatar cycle almost end. 2) Rock pillar chops being thrown at baddy. 3) Fire jets=flight. 4) Awesome-sause.

Zaheer's flight was quite cool. As was the horrid demise of "Sparky-Sparky Boom Lady", as Sokka would say! ;D

I'm glad that Korra could learn Metal Bending. I'd been wondering if they could only learn the main 4 elements (plus Energy bending), and not be able to do all the other fancy stuff, but now that she's learned Metal Bending, how cool would it be for her to Sand Bend, or Lightning Bendh wait, Aang did that...uh...nevermind me...

And yes, jokool. There will be a 4th season, but that will be the end.
Spoiler:
I don't think Korra will die, but maybe some family/close people will witness some problems/death...

Also, here's a note: The one Metal Bending commander person who saved Korra's dad (we only saw her for a tiny bit), but she's voiced by Zelda Williams. (saw it in the credits) I predict she'll be a big role in the next season.

I'm well aware. The Zelda community brought it up quite often after Robin's death.

You usually disagree with IGN's opinions, why change now?

Got caught up again. Last episode was just a recap of the series, which was a bit disappointing for me at first, but the way they narrated it was hilarious:

Dat Korra finale:

spoilery stuff:
Wooooooooooooow! So much destruction! That giant mecha was insane! Cool that Asami's father was able to help out, and nice to see him and Asami working together as a father/daughter again. Completely shocked when he sacrificed himself to save Asami and help the others get in the mecha...

And there were so many other moments where I thought someone was going to die, like Mako blowing up that giant spirit vine powering the mecha...

And then that final fight between Korra and Kuvira! Totally thought the spirits were going to get payback against Kuvira, but Korra steps in and saves her, which, I guess, is the Avatar thing to do, but it did surprise me.

Republic City definitely won't be the same, given how most of the buildings are now rubble and there's a new spirit portal in the middle of it now.

Also, Varrick proposing to Zhu Li, loved it! Such a nice wedding at the end too. Zhu Li looked so nice!

I like Prince Wu's decision to step down and have all the Earth Kingdom be independent states. I'd love to see how it turns out, but probably not going to happen...

And that ending... Nice and simple. Not bad. Totally thought Korra and Asami were going to kiss at the end (and now, I kind of want to ship them).

Hard to believe that it's all over now... Really going to miss it... I hope they do something else (like another sequel series), but I doubt it...
