sorry for not having pictures this time and being a short update, but there's only one puzzle this update, and it's not needed, so...
update 3:
well... after leaving the triton estate, layton decides to ask the kid in the destroyed house I mentioned last post (a little bit late but still)
so I talk to him, get nothing interesting out of him, and visit some of the other destroyed houses. so we still get nowhere fast, unless you count unlocking one of the three minigames required for extra post-game puzzles but nothing else significant. and now we're FINALLY at the hotel. and remember in update 1 how I mentioned a teaser cutscene... well, that's this cutscene... in it's full, you see the hotel room you're in get destroyed but THANKFULLY you live.

update 5: some more shiny new features and another puzzle:
so... the guy who tells me about hiny coins this time also tells me about a BRAND-SPANKING new feature, the collection, which is a bunch of pointless items found hidden in various parts of misthallary (the name of the city) but are required for 100%, however, since I''m doing minimal sidequesting, (and only REQUIRED sliding puzzles) I'm not going for anything past the tutorial one...

first off, how did THAT get into a sewer pipe. and why tap 10 or so times, as shouldn't it down far enough that you can't reach it AT ALL? but it's a game so *shrugs*
also, the other new feature is a memo function, to remind you what you're doing if you haven't played in a while, the catch however is that there is only one memo, so you HAVE to erase your memo to write another one...

my real life handwriting looks worse than this BTW, which is why I have a laptop from the school don't won't let me install sh!t without permission, so I'm using my personal laptop instead.
and now for... a puzzle.

instead of using the memo feature here, I go to input my answer. seem like a weird answer, well just so you know, the quickest way to check every room with no backtracking is to check the rooms in the shape of the number 25.

and thus the next chapter starts!!!!

For some reason, I didn't think of 25 being a number....

Yeah, for some reason, when I saw that puzzle, I could only think of single numbers (1 through 9) as being numbers, so I was like, "Okay, you do a 5, then a backwards 5, so the answer is 5!"

Have I mentioned how big of an idiot I am? Doink!

I don't think you're an idiot, it's just that you are a scatterbrain at times.

Re: professor romch and the prequels of unnecessary answers

Post by returnofmastercrazyhand on 20th February 2014, 6:45 pm

okay, four things:
1. I am putting the LP on hold while I finish miracle mask's daily puzzles and azran legacy once I get my copy from amazon.

2. despite this, I DO NOT want this laser powered trash compactor, as I have another update in the making, but like I said, it won't be until I finish the main azran legacy puzzles 100% (which may take a while, considering how long it took MM) but because azran legacy has more to offer thanks to the streetpass treasure hunt, daily puzzles and their "+" variants, and lots of bonus minigames not required for anything other than bragging rights, I WILL return to this LP before I even finish azran legacy 100% for real

3. because Lux and I doing this as a joint LP, I will follow his format for having you figure out the puzzles for yourselves (minus mandatory ones, which I will continue to do)

4. I will post the WHOLE movie in youtube form if there exists a video of it(crossing my fingers that there does) after I finish LS, with a couple of my insights on the movie in posts following the movie post.
