I picked up Fire Emblem on the Wii U virtual console. I'm really enjoying it so far. I've only had about three of four deaths(I reset each time though) and I think I'm on chapter 15. I've done both of the side quests so I'm looking pretty good right now.

I just found out my cousin has a copy of BOTH path of radiance and radiant dawn!!!!!!
I hope I can buy them off him, because I don't necessarily want to use my jailbreaking skills to play them, as I use my jailbroken wii for other homebrew reasons.

I need a life.

Who's got opinions on Fire Emblem If?

I think they're making the game too easy. You fucking casuals. Kappa

It looks interesting. I hope it has plenty of support conversations because those were--and continue to be--a HUGE part of my experience with Awakening.

I totally agree. I personally prefer the supports in Sacred Stones, since they were much harder to get, but they really give personality to many of the characters.

If you're talking about Phoenix Mode, a guy on Miiverse pointed out that it's great for people who want in on the visual novel aspect of Fire Emblem, because playing it with all the trappings can get tiring. (Even with Casual Mode, if you die, the unit loses Support Points gained in the battle.)

If you're talking about infinite weapon durability, it's a great way to actually encourage people to forge; you won't have to worry about your weapon running out of uses. (Plus, in theory, you'd take care of your weapon. It's kind of similar to Genealogy of the Holy War in that respect (i.e. people actually taking care of their weapons and not just let them break), though in that game you'd pay to restore weapon usage.)

I was poking around some forums, and apparently they've announced a third version of the already two-part game? You know what that means...

:
Last I checked, the other version's content is already available as DLC, as well as a "neutral" third route. The third version is basically the DLC bundle.

Is this for real?  :O

Only one of each, huh? *does some research*

Fuck, it's Eyepatch McWhateverface and Tharja Jr. Laaaaaaaaaaaame.

Not that I care. I'd probably just play as a girl if I wanted to marry a guy anyway.

Honestly though, I'm more concerned about the incest.
