Not today but last week, there was a huge debate in my class about whether a person's life is decided by their parents/upbringing or their choices. Five people were debating against me and I kept on providing evidence and points that trumped theirs. Although it felt good to win an argument (against 5 people no less), it was rather saddening to me that 4 of the 5 high schoolers weren't prepared for any counterclaims against their point and seemed to simply believe what they believe because it was told to them first.

I'm reading The One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. That in itself is awesome. Thumb Up w/ Blood

I don't care how lame that last sentence sounded to those who don't read.
Which point were you arguing for?

I was arguing for the side that it is your choices that make up your life, having had the personal experience and observation of those who experience trauma. I don't deny that your past will always affect you but I don't believe that your past should be used as a crutch for the bad outlooks/choices in your life.

instead he dodged

I am currently playing Spyro: A Hero's Tail and I realized I was in an area with an egg thief. I looked to my right and saw him/her (I didn't ask for name or gender) and hit the button to start charging. The moment I did so, the music mix I am listening to switched to a very epic track that I thought was quite fitting for the occasion.

Crowning moment of awesome - Page 2 Empty Re: Crowning moment of awesome

Post by Truthseeker4449 24th February 2014, 6:02 pm

For the past few months my mom's 2000 Ford Windstar has suffered a number of problems (poor idling, no heat, weak power steering, pull to the right, brake pulsation, worn steering components, external oil leakage, and intermittent ABS failure). In December we found that the rods for the variable intake manifold runner control module had fallen out due to bushing failure.

After finding a service bulletin last week about preingition, a serious engine problem where the air fuel mixture in the cylinder goes off when it shouldn't, as a result of those rods not being there, I replaced the bushings yesterday.

The no-load test yesterday didn't look encouraging, but when me and my mom went to the library on a test drive, we discovered those bushings are making a huge difference. Not only has the check engine gone out, the engine now puts out much more power (though at the cost of being louder) and the power steering is working.

While most of the problems remain, I'm extremely pleased with the engine's performance and my only concern about it now is the presumably increased oil pressure (my reasoning is the oil pump is driven by the crankshaft, which also drives the power steering pump. In this case, weak engine == weak power steering) making the oil leak worse.

Excited

Not a really big moment of awesome, but it still feels awesome to me: I was watching one of JackSepticEye's latest videos and made a comment. He replied! That just felt so awesome and cool! Cool Shades

My Mega Charizard X critical hit a level 60 Altaria with Dragon Rush and killed it in one hit.

Said Mega Charizard X was level 44.

So I finally got that radiator out of that Chevy and put it back in. I looked up the time it would pay and it's 2.2 hours. It took me roughty 2.2 weeks.

While I was at work today, a guy came in with one of the coolest cars I've seen in a while! It was a Corvette Stingray with a ton of mods and a super sweet engine! A couple of people who were around said it looked like a Transformer. Had to agree with them (though, the car was black and not silver).

Are you sure that it was a Stingray? I recently learned that the branding of Stingray applies only to the second (1963 to 1968), third (1968 to 1982) and seventh (2013 - Present) generations of Corvettes.

Wow, just wow. To throw away a perfectly good warranty... And trust me, having a repair covered under warranty makes a huge difference at the dealer.

Made it in time for another Nerd3 Live Stream! Saw some Shadow of the Colossus gameplay and then some GTA V stuff. Best moment was that Dan actually tried out one of my suggestions in the GTA V part! Made my day so much!

So yeah, if you see the next GTA V video Nerd3 does (which will probably be sometime later this week or next week), I suggested the "Be a fireman" part. Super Grin
