So why is it green on Friday, but only yellow on Saturday despite having around 1,000 words on both days?

I'm guessing Lux met his goal for the day on Friday, but not today.

*decides to do some math to get a rough approximation of that goal*

So you need about 1,700 words a day to stay on track to 50,000 words by the end of the month.

1667 is the magic number :P

So if I did my math right, the goal by the end of the day is 5,001 words.

the NaNo site has a stats page which calculates how many you'll need a day to finish on time, your average per day and when you'll finish at your speed :P

I didn't get any work done on mine either, but I'm not sure if it's even worth continuing...
